The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Celtics four games to two. But Game 1 became known as the "Memorial Day Massacre" as the Celtics soundly beat the Lakers 148–114. Celtic reserve forward Scott Wedman made all 11 out of 11 field goal attempts.

The Celtics beat the Lakers 148-114 in a game that came to be known as the "Memorial Day Massacre." The game was a profound embarrassment for the Lakers. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had only 12 points and 3 rebounds in his matchup with Robert Parish, and Magic Johnson pulled down only one rebound.

Danny Ainge of the Celtics started hot, scoring 15 points in the first quarter. Scott Wedman made all 11 shots he took from the field. Afterwards, Abdul-Jabbar apologized to his teammates for his terrible performance.

Before Boston's 131-92 victory over the Lakers in Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals, this was the most lopsided finals game in the history of the Lakers–Celtics rivalry.

LeBron has been held under 20 points in straight 3 games!

He's averaging a little less than 17 points in the finals  :o :o :o

Well, he's finally doing something I couldn't have imagined Jordan ever doing.

20 years ago, Jordan just averaged 41 a game in the finals.

NBA record  ;D

Jordan comparisons lol.

The Jordan comparisons ended when he left Cleveland. That was his legacy, to take nothing and make it into something.  The whole setup in Miami is bullshit.  How soon people forget when they are looking for bandwagons to jump on?  Anyway, they will probably beat the Spurs in 6, but at least I won't see it.

Right, so they're gonna win 3 of the next 4 games with the next two being in San Antonio? Not likely LOLOLOLOL!

I haven't watched the NBA in years, so I can't say, who are the starters or the role players.  Based on Sports Center reports, Miami is the favorite, and should win in 6 or 7, because of LB23.

All you people saying Lebron was better than Jordan earlier this season should be ashamed, Lebron averaging a monster 16ppg through this finals so far!stop being impressed with regular season stat stuffing, if you want a sample of what Jordan could of done with the ball in his hands as much as Lebron, look to the 89 season when Jordan was moved to point Guard for 24 games and averaged a near triple double.

"Doug Collins decided to move Jordan to the point guard spot against Seattle on March 11, 1989. He finished that game with 15 assists. Two days later, he had a game of 21/14/14 against the Pacers in just 30 minutes of playing time in a 32-point blowout win. He reached the triple double mark in just 21 minutes.
Jordan continued to play at the PG spot until the end of the season. In these 24 games he averaged 29.3ppg, 8.9rpg, 10.6 apg, 2.4spg. Between March 24 and April 14, 1989, he recorded a triple double in ten of the eleven games, including seven consecutive ones. In the game he didn’t record a TD, he finished with 40 points, 11 assists and 7 rebounds."

Could you imagine Jordan getting out scored by Danny Green in 3 games lol

LeBron James: 16.7 points on 38.9% shooting (23% for three)

Danny Green: 18.7 points on 63.3% shooting (69.6% for three)

If the Spurs win the next game, it's over.

The Heat won't beat the Spurs 3 times in a row.

I will give you this, i agree with you totally.

Miami is struggling, I like james, i cant stand wade, his a fucken crybaby.
It will be great to see Duncan win one more before he walks away.

Do you still think Lebron is a better player than Jordan was?

You know what Army of One, im going to have to eat my share of humble pie.
Jordan was/is much better. I got caught up in the moment when Lebron went on a scoring spree hitting 70% of his shots.

Lebron is a great player, no question, but I don't see how he deserves the Jordan comparisons. In Jordan's day whenever the Bulls played against my team and Jordan had the ball I would feel anxious for them and hope MJ would pass the ball. Also with MJ you knew at any second he could go off and take over. I just don't get that with Lebron. Not even close really. And he has a history of not showing up in the post season.

Heat was down in the Series last year - I think they trailed Celtics, pacers AND Thunder by one game?

They're undisciplined children that only get focused when their backs are against the wall.

if they lose game 4, they're the biggest underachieving wimps in the history of the game.  If they WIN game 4, then it's 2-2 and they have home-court back, and everything is par for course.

How about we start with comparing him to say a Kobe?
then after three or four rings we can get the ball rolling on these comparisons

Lebron had 15 points.  ZERO free throws.

The Heat decided early that the game was over.  No risk for injury, they stopped driving the lane and just started running out the clock.

In game 4, the Heat will be rested and the SPurs will be tired.  If Parker can even plan with that hamstring.   Series is still young.  If Spurs win game #4, then they'll win it.

If Heat win game 4.... well, then the advantage has to lean toward them - their bigger 3 is younger.  Spurs have to step on their throats on Thursday night.  If they let the heat get back up, then the age of parker/ginobli/duncan becomes an issue... in the last 3 games, Heat will be fresher and less injured.

That was probably one of the best games I seen an NBA team play.

Duncan was his usual shoddy self though.
