  • Doesnt lie about lifting.
From NRO:

“The Senate has rejected an amendment to the Gang of Eight bill calling for a “border security first” approach to immigration reform...The measure would have required the Department of Homeland Security to demonstarate effective security of the southern border for six months before illegal immigration are granted legal status...

The Republican members of the Gang of Eight — senators John McCain (Ariz.), Marco Rubio (Fla.), Jeff Flake (Ariz.), and Lindsey Graham (S.C.) – and Republican senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska joined with the Democrats to block the amendment.”

Rubio is a liar and a fraud

maybe... repubs seem to make a lot of noise about choosing far-right... then they choose a moderate.

If you were a betting man... would you bet on ither Rinos (rubio or christie) or "rest of field" winning the nomination in 2016?

I'm convinced repubs will clap for tea party Rand for 2 years... then promptly vote for one of these 2 RINOS when Hannity/Rush tell them the RINOS are the only "viable" options lol...

The gay spouse thing wouldn't work for several reasons.  It is far to broad and intrusive. First gay civil unions aren't recognized by the federal government. Such an amendment would be a defacto endorsement of gay marriage and in contradiction to DOMA.

Secondly, if such an amendment were to pass, it would usurp states rights by recognizing gay unions in states which currently do not.  It also grants rights to immigrants which gay citizens in many states do not currently have.  A lot of lawsuits would be sure to follow.
