Stiff-legs are a low back movement...romainian deadlifts are a hamstring movement. Slightly bent legs, just focus on pushing your ass back. You should hit maximum tension on your hamstrings at 3-4 inches below your knees....anything past that is shifting the focus from your hams to your lower back. It took me 10 or 12 years to learn that...I had always thought SLDLs and RDLs were the same thing and basically a "stretching" exercise.
