You could also say you can't just shoot someone dead like Zimmerman did(but he did!).Given the circumstances if Trayvon had ended up killing Zimmerman with his bare hands(as unlikely as that may be), I very much doubt a jury would have been able to find him guilty of murder either. I think it more likely the jury returned a not guilty verdict because with no eye witnesses it was nigh on impossible to remove "reasonable doubt" rather than them having a great deal of confidence in Zimmerman's version of events... I suppose that is one of the problems when it is legal for any idiot to run around with a gun.
