Zimmerman: "This is not a time for high fives"
« on: July 14, 2013, 08:07:19 AM »
I don't like the guy, but I give him props for saying this.  His lawyers were laughing and celebrating and STILL playing the victim about the media... I mean, the sorest winners I've ever seen.

ZImmerman said it was a somber time and no time for high fives.  And he talked about the victim, etc.  So maybe he'll grow a lot from this.  Seeing the lawyer O'Mara grinning and basking in the sunlight.  NOBODY should have been smiling last night.  At most, he got to legally shoot someone.  It's still a seriously sad day.

You don't think he's a media victim?

NBC editing the tape to make it look racist.

Endlessly putting the cute 12 year old Trayvon's pic against the full grown Zimmerman.

C'mon.

Agreed.  They should be happy and relieved.  I don't know if they are giving high fives and partying though...and you're not too honest, so how about a reference.

I tend to agree.  It's also not the time to use this case as an excuse to hurt innocent people and steal tvs.  A kid is still dead and regardless of where I stand on this case, that fact doesn't sit right with me.  He may have been a knucklehead but everyone is entitled to redemption and he will never have his shot.

It was an attempted modern day lynching by the media.

If he lives in fear for his life every time he leaves the house I'm sure he will at least take comfort in the fact knowing that it's all part of gods plan.

what would Trayvon need redemption from

you have to do something wrong first in order to get redeemed

all he did was walk home and get stalked and shot to death

Redemption/making something out of himself.  He was a troubled kid.

I think Zimmerman had more run ins with the law than Martin did

Is Martin mother is a college graduate and his older brother is a senior in college so it's likely he would have gotten through his teenage rebellious phase and gotten his life together

Zimmerman is was a borderline idiot who couldn't even get an AA degree and was too stupid to even become a cop

which one of those two sounds like they are "troubled"

Quote
Trayvon was an average student... not on academic probation, but not charging his way towards the National Honor Society either. His in classroom behavior was by all accounts non-remarkable, but it was his out of classroom activities; truancy, graffiti and the like, that landed him multiple suspensions. Zimmerman, on the other hand was anything but an average student at Seminole State Community College According to the Miami Herald:

Zimmerman got D's in Introduction to Criminal Justice and Juvenile Delinquency, and a C in a course called Evil Minds -Violent Predators. He failed algebra and astronomy and was placed on academic probation in 2011.

At one point, his grade-point average dropped to a .5. His A's in English, criminal litigation and a Marriage and Family class boosted his overall G.P.A. to 2.3.

In late 2011, he was declined an associate's degree because he had failed a class and did not have the credits to graduate

Also, he had sex with that ape Rachel Jenteal. On the basis of that alone, he isn't completely innoncent.

you must be thinking about yourself and just fantasizing because she said they were only friends and in fact he was one of the few people who was nice to her and where others made fun of her because of her accent, weight etc.

So Martin appears to be a nice guy where others (such as yourself) appear to be racist assholes

bgold teeth ?

your fellow rightwing nutbags on this board pose with their guns and being "high" on pot makes you less aggressive

I'd think a lawyer (LOL) such as your claim to be would know these things

What's your point?  What Martins relatives accomplished says nothing about martins chances at success.   My point was, he will never get a chance to make something of himself because he's dead.

Zimm has a worse background that Martin - more criminal activity and much worse academic record bordering or semi-retarded

a frustrated loser who couldn't even become a cop and like to spend his free time driving his around with his gun looking for shit

family history of going to college absolutely is an indicator that others in the same family will follow in that path

Zimm was an academic failure at the most minimal level of college

No doubt though that Martin will never get the chance to do something in life

Zimmerman, acting out what he thinks was gods plan, took that away from him

But it's no guarantee.  I have college degrees but two my three siblings don't have a high school diploma. I think you're arguing with me over something we agree on.
