serious question to middle aged getbiggers:
As i am getting older (35 now) it is harder and harder to not think and worry about future all the time - where i am going, am i at the right place, will i ever do a job i enjoy, what if i get fired, should i save more money etc-etc. I cant really enjoy a movie or a book anymore, i mean i cant forget the outside world during these, even if its the best movie or book ever. The same in teh gym: sitting between sets and thinking about things to do. Any ideas?

Every man need his "Robinson Crusoe" island: small farm/cabin in the woods/boat/motorhome,etc,.

Try being black they don't seem to worry about any of those things. Just sounds like you are a responsible adult, just remember to play hard too and have some fun.

The only way you can switch off is by suicide or drugs, and drugs is another form of slow suicide.

"maturing/aging" = realizing you re an animal struggling for its survival against all the human competition. If you have money , if you re surounded by "loved ones" -people who want you to suceed, dominate, where they werent able to dominate so basically who live vicarously thru you- who give you advices on how to fuck people in the ass instead of being fucked i the ass by them, it's easier to cope... Others simply become violent, angry, jealous, or kill themselves realizing there is no justice or fairness in life, it's simply about adapting better than others and winning when they lose.
Having kids they can get money for your retirement, it's easier to defend yourself, survive in the specie if you create your own loyal group.

The funny is that ultimately our whole specie will get extinct anyway. So most people simply come to the conclusion, while im here, why not simply dominate blindly without caring about all these bullshits like religion, philosophy etc, -how useful are they for a poor man? it wont help him much, all of this is just a hobbie for rich people who dont have to survive daily killing others for a job and food- life is pain for everyone so lets be happy making others having a painful day. Now multiply this belief/behavior by 7, 8 9 billions of individuals.

When interacting IRL with people from all parts of the globe a common denominator of the generally dissatisfied is where they're from and alarmingly the states just doesn't hold up.
Again, nobody is "happy", everyone is only pretending to be happy. Everyone knows there are too many people, not enough jobs. Everyone says he hates his job, yet does his best daily to prevent any newbie from being recruited, anyone from taking his place, even if it's a shity place. Everyone criticizes the boss in front of his colleagues, and criticizes his colleagues in front of his boss. And the boss knows it well.

Life is war. Everything is an instrument to wage war, words, feelings, hapiness happen when you succesfully dominate , kill, when you see others fail. Anger, frustration, sadness happen when you fail to dominate, are dominated. Hope is when you envision yourself or you offsprings dominating others.

There is no way mankind can last forever, our so called intelligence, consciousness -of being animals- are only other weapons to wage war against others.

be careful here, too much worries=anxiety, too much anxiety turns into mild depression, next you know it is clinical depression and suicide thoughts. And last step, suicide.
Beautiful day outside.

I have been thinking about starting up again. It has been about 20 years. I love the smell and taste. I just started getting real paranoid after smoking it for 21 years. I started at 13.

it helps to learn which strains make you calm vs contemplative, indicas vs sativas, all things in moderation, if you live some place where its legal, all the better. Indicas definitely help you relax, go sleepy-sleepy   :D

add in some kids and you've got yourself a real living hell with no fucking end in sight
whether you have kids or not, life is still all about struggling for your survival against the competition. For some having kids help and motivate, for others it's a chore depend of your own upbringing.

My personal and professional life were both a house of cards. My personal life collapsed so at least I don't have to worry about that anymore. However, it costs me almost $100K a year for that "peace of mind."

If my professional house of cards collapses, then I'm really fucked.

I try not to think about it.

Don't give up easily, & if U have too "hit the road Jack" relocate/restart new life & delete your past  ;)

PAY OFF YOUR DEBTS......then it gets easier and less stressful.

Nope, borrow hips on credit cards & declare yourself officially bankrupt  ;D ;D ;D
You'll live for the next 5 years without credit cards, no big deal anyway  ;)
Relocate to warm climate & live  :D

If you're doing something that causes stress and you know will always cause you stress, stop doing it and move on...Most of the people working their ass off in jobs they hate will end up being sick when they get older...But at least they might have enough money to pay for being sick...lol...Stress is the single worst thing you can do to your body over a long period of time...The American system is set up to stress you the fukc out...Therefore if you make it to retirement age, you'll be in and out of the Hierarchy's medical system where they can give you a HOT SHOT and any given time...

If you can find something that gives you a sense of passion. It's hard for me, but sometimes I can pursue a course of thought that will give my life an intense sense of meaning. It doesn't last, it's fleeting and far between, but when it comes the whole universe opens up and explodes with joy and purpose.  :-*

Good point, i think the US drives people to work their life away and sucks you into a very face paced stressful life.

8)

Yes. This is true. But, there is a trade off for that hard work. Less vacation time, meals out, etc, but you usually have a big house and are more monetarily sound.
