It's funny in jr. high I could touch the rim at 5'9" 145lbs , I could never get my hand high enough over to dunk even though I can palm a ball. in high school I was 5'11" and 175 and could just barely touch the net lol

Gaining weight has a huge impact on vert, I can go from dunking to getting 3-4 inches below the rim with a 50 pound fat gain

The extra 30lbs you gained was your downfall.  Gravity is a bitch.

At a shade under 6ft I could get the ball over the rim but always hit the back and never down. I was lazy and never lifted at all at that time.  So dumb.

Powerlifting is the quickest way to increase vert, along with plyometrics, there's a white guy on YouTube, 5'10 and power lifts, not huge but strong, maybe 185 at 6 feet, he can just stand under the rim with the ball, and without taking a single step jump straight up and jam with 2 hands.

Can't find the vid but he is basically this guy but white, this guy credits his jump to 6 years of cleans and snatches, the amount of power you need from your body without steps to do what he does is insane

I don't know how to "jump".  I'm 6'4 and can stand under the rim and jump straight up and hang with both hands. But, I try and run and jump off of one foot, I can't even barely touch the rim.
