this happened once with another chick.  We went to the Chop house in Chicago.  Both ordered a filet.  Hers was a perfect specimen of a steak.  Mine looked like it got slammed in a door hinge. Normally I would have sent it back making a fuss, but I was on good behavior for the date.   I'm stuck eating around the chunks of fat meanwhile hers is pure meaty goodness.  She has 3 bites and says she's so full.  I grabbed hers and ate the rest.

Depends on the cut but usually medium rare.  Best beef I ever had was the prime rib at Volcano, Hawaii.  The place looked like a cafeteria but holy shit I was pleasantly surprised.

Buy a steak from Walmart or Family Dollar - Well done on the grill.  I use a soy sauce and olive oil marinade

Decent Steakhouse - Medium Rare

High Quality Japanese Steakhouse (Kobe Beef) - Definitely Rare



And NO FUCKING STEAK SAUCE.   I took a guy out to dinner in SC to a really expensive joint and the guy ask for it well done with some Heinz 57 sauce!!!  That shit pissed me the fuck off and I was quite embarrassed....a 60 dollar steak ruined by completing burning it to hell and coating it with some cheap ass tomato sauce.... its an insult to cooks if you ask for steak sauce..especially cheap shit.    Bitch almost didn't get any dick that night for that travesty.....
