It is true. Companies' are requiring more and higher educational achievement for new hires. It is just another way of weeding through the multitude of applications in many cases. The absurdity is that many of these positions don't require the skills or knowledge one gets from more education.

When my stepfather was in school, he only went through the 8th grade, which was basically elementary school back in those days. This was not uncommon in those days. When I graduated high school in 1962 a high school education qualified you for many jobs. When my kids graduated, one needed a Bachelor's degree to get anything decent. If things keep going as they have been the next generation will need a PHD to get a job. This is the case in American, but not so much in the European countries where trade schools are much more common and students can start training for a trade around the 10th grade.

Amen. 21 is a time where you can separate yourself from your peers. I think Chicago would be a great place for someone to start the "adult" life. I traveled around until I was almost 25 and then ended up in the windy city.

Most tourists only visit Amsterdam, some of them also The Hague, Delft, Rotterdam, Utrecht or even Maastricht, Nijmegen, etc.
I've seen both categories; polite & social ones, but drunk hooligans as well.

Hate to point this out, but this is a case of you lying to yourself more than the women you are conning.  Do you want to go through life faking it the whole time?  Always having to have an "out" for when the other person gets too close to the truth?

You do realize that you lead a pathetic life. People like you who aren't real and who make a life of lies often end up in a web of those lies. At some point you have to come clean and when you do, those women you lied to will take a hike on you. You'll end up alone and miserable but you'll still have all those slick clothes.

In the circles I move in, folks are so over judging or misjudging folks by what they wear. Anyone can dress well. All it takes is a credit card and some advice from a clerk at the store. Some ghetto folks dress better than wealthy people do because they feel like it proves something. It proves squat.

There is more to life than pretending to liv(e)[ing] a playboy lifestyle when you got only dimes and nickels to play with. Your choices in life now reflect what happens 5 to 10 years down the road.

Lose the "loser" friends. High school should have separated the men from the boys long time ago. The "losers" usually go their own way after grade 11-12, when they know nothing else is going on in their life. They either drop out or find a trade.

Success begets success.
