My mom would literally beat up my stepdad and then call the police if he so much as pushed her off him. Fortunately, the police would see through the nonsense and leave. In those days, it was rare that the woman would ever be taken into custody. Unfortunately, these things haven't changed much.

I hope Zimmerman stays the heck away from his ex because she seems bent on getting him into trouble. Maybe I am just biased or jaded when I comes to domestic matters....much like the police have become.

Not an expert exactly.  However, working as a Detention Officer, I know from experience that when you have calls on domestic violence....it usually speaks of a person's mentality and in many unfortunate cases gives a glimpse into their future.
