Bottom line, with the exception of professional athletes, who are an outlier, successful people don't waste their time playing video games. It's for kids and losers.
i suppose successful people don't watch movies, or read books, listen to music, play sports, race cars, go sailing, or partake in any other form of recreation either

not to mention the countless well-known examples flying directly in the face of your ridiculous assumption... such as "losers" involved in the game industry (chosen for irony, or course)
how about gabe newell, who has spent over 1000 hours PLAYING (not developing) his companies latest game... and is richer than any pro athlete, or richard garriott, who enjoys other hobbies, such as
space travel when not playing and creating games, or john carmack, who surely must play plenty of games in between designing the fundamental technologies behind them / giving away expensive sports cars to those "loser kids" who play his games.
Speaking of the whole "professional athlete thing", how about the "unsuccessful" team of kids who just won 1.6 million in this year's biggest gaming tournament.
don't speak on subjects you know nothing about.
