I like to get invincible, and go on an exploring spree.  If I ever choose to use the game to beat the missions 100%, I'd devote to that, but it's hard to find that kinda time  

I just like playing 2-3 times a week for a half hour... put on invincibility, generate a jetpack, and fly around and find adventure.

back in the day, I would play ghot recon ps2, goldeneye (supernes i think?), and of course vice city.  I'd play the missions for weeks.  LOVED it.   I just picked up a PS2 for the nephews & neices... played vice city for the first time in maybe 5-6 years.  Love it.  Started beating missions, then suddenly it's been a week since i touched it.    Put on san andreas today... invincible with a jet pack, just goofing off.   One of these nights, I'll be free... drink 2 wines and play til 2 am

Anyone got this working on ps3?  I was on 3.55 Kmeaw but wouldn't work despite having the 3.55 eboot.  Updated to 4.46 Rogero and that shit isn't playing any of the games i had before.

i suppose successful people don't watch movies, or read books, listen to music, play sports, race cars, go sailing, or partake in any other form of recreation either

how about gabe newell, who has spent over 1000 hours PLAYING (not developing) his companies latest game... and is richer than any pro athlete, or richard garriott, who enjoys other hobbies, such as space travel when not playing and creating games, or john carmack, who surely must play plenty of games in between designing the fundamental technologies behind them / giving away expensive sports cars to those "loser kids" who play his games.

Speaking of the whole "professional athlete thing", how about the "unsuccessful" team of kids who just won 1.6 million in this year's biggest gaming tournament.

Well, sooner or a later the cycle will reach the point where wars are needed again tho. And these games which are all about killing / simulating war/fighting are just a way to train virtually for the next wars.

Games are always to prepare for real life fights later in life, in all animal species were animals are seen "playing".

For the most part, the people at the top of their field have tunnel vision and don't have many pastimes. Their work is their hobby. There are some exceptions of course, but generally successful people have a singular focus. I remember reading a quote from Tom Brady when discussing Bill Belicheck where he said something to the effect of, "Bill doesn't give a shit about anything but football." And that's why he's a winner. U might be too if rather than waste time on your fantasy life u put that effort into whatever job u have. U might go places.

Anyone great at doing something , cant do it for his, her whole life tho. Of course life is a lot easier when you re constantly in the euphoric flow of what you like -have been conditioned- to excel in. Most of the time when you get rich and have done everything you could do in a particular area, you finally find the time to do other lighter things. Also at some point you ve done everything there is to do in said area. Then there s nothing else much to do but teach it to others. We all need time off to be better at what we re doing. Nobody constantly do the same stuff over and over again without taking time off. It's simply impossible.
