More advanced trainers who favor the Bowflex may prefer the more contemporary version of the famous pectoral apparatus that utilizes medical tubing, which offers smoother increased resistance throughout the range of motion. The quieter operation of the device makes it the perfect choice for "anytime training" without waking your neighbors on adjacent floors.

It also comes in a variety of colors:

Seriously, dips are a favorite of mine, too. As with many body weight exercises, there are numerous little subtleties one can use to tweak the movement and customize it to suit their own individual effectiveness. Small adjustments in hand/arm positioning and spacing, as well as postural variance, can yield tremendous impact on the feel dips provide.

Some trainers used to refer to dips as the "squat" for the upper body.

dips, various bench presses= incline, flat, decline, flys, pecdeck, cable crossovers, pullovers alt w/[breathing squats 20-30reps] are all good. select 3 exercises from above and alternate the others and you should build a large chest

in other words don't limit yourself to one movement  that being said dips are probably the best. get yourself one of these benches pic'd and i guarentee you will need a larger shirt in 3-4 monthes time[provided you use it of course]

I know that lots of trainers knock the standard bench press, but I love it for growth purposes. Granted, I perform the movement with dumbbells, which offers a little more freedom of movement as opposed to a barbell.

I also raise my feet off the ground to eliminate posting leverage. I feel like the flat back also reduces the involvement of my lats to a degree. I lower the bells to a point just below where a regular barbell would stop. I pause at the bottom of each rep just long enough to avoid stretch reflex (bounce), and then power up.

This technique, of course, is far from ideal for handling impressive weight, but I feel my chest working much more than when employing more conventional BP form. I believe that my chest has filled out a bit as a result.

I also used to like doing neck presses on a machine, but despite the "feeling," I never noticed much in terms of development.

Always loved heavy weighted dips but I've fucked up my shoulders from doing them.

Dumbell press is my next best option.
