Sorry guys no PTPS as I can't figure out a decent way of asking my mother in law for these

Here it goes:
She's been dieting on a crash style diet for 5 weeks (why didn't she listen to me lol) and dropped her calorie intake from around 2200 to only 1000 per day!
Obviously she lost a shit load of water weight the first couple of weeks, and for the last 3 a good amount of bodyfat - but as you can guess her weight loss has now completely stopped.
Her current daily (shitt) diet is currently something like this:
1. Breakfast - small bowl of Special K cereal & apple - 300kcals
2. Snack - cereal bar - 100kcals
3. Lunch - crackers with cream cheese - 250 kcals
4. Dinner - small plate of whatever she's cooking - no more than 400-500 kcals
I have a good idea how to remedy this and kick start the metabolism back, then put her on a higher intake (1400-500) lower the carbs and raise the protein/fats.
Any input would be appreciated as I said I would ask you guys for her
