The guy was throwing punches at the bouncer and his actions were clear self defense. Juries don't sympathize with morons so good luck to him suing.

the patron was outside of the establishment... bouncer should have gone in, locked the door and waited for the cops...

believe what you like but he will likely be charged, prosecuted and convicted of a crime to be determined based on the severity of the asshole's injuries...

i worked the door for a number of years and had 2 serious run-ins with the law for lesser situations

This bouncer is going to jail and will be paying a lot of money to the guy, the guy was on the sidewalk not in the club and the bouncer attacked the guy first plus you can see from the video that he has martial arts training so his hands will be considered to be weapons under the law, man he is in some serious trouble.
All he had to do once he clinched with the guy was to put him in a guillotine or standing side choke and he could have put the guy to sleep with no harm done i always tell bouncers at the gym that brazilian jiu jitsu is the best art to train because you can put down a guy without getting into trouble with the law.
