yes, Ronnie likely beats Doz. However, no more so than Doz "making" himself better than Lee after Lees retirement as bodybuilding is progressive in nearly every sense. The difference is Ronnie sometimes looks beatable, Kevin matched Ronnie in the upper body pose for pose during Ronnies first few wins, since then he has looked susceptible against Jay and Gunther at various times. Doz destroyed EVERYONE emphatically, against MUCH stiffer competition.

this thread does nothing but recapitulate the obvious facts:

During most of his career, ronnie was in a whole together different class than Dorian - by virtue of his superior bodyparts, muscle shape, detail (striations anyone?) and body taper.

Sure, Dorian had better calves and abs. but thats it. He had no other advantages, and took a back seat to Ronnie in the taper department.

Those shots of Ronnie are some of the best ever taken, but were not onstage.

However, Dorian's best shots were not onstage either.

Compare the black and white 93 Dorian precontest pics to the 02 Ronnie precontest pics.

Side tricep, ab and thigh, calves and graininess. I'd also give doz the front lat spread. Ronnie double bi, side chest back shots are completely different on each guy (apples oranges

) so that comes down to personal preference.

Dorians side quarter turns kill Ronnie, front & back relaxed fairly even Ronnie has a slight edge.

Dorian was a much better poser but thats not saying much cause Ronnie doesn't pose very well.

Overall I'd give it to Dorian. Just my opinion.
