I agree BillO is a fair guy.   He does lean right, but he will admit when a repub is wrong.  He just chooses to spend more of his time dissing dems because that's what his employer (FOX) pays him for.  Same with Stwwart and most in media.

Levin... saying he will never admit anything Obama does correct, and criticizing romney for doing so, because "that's someone else's job to do"... well, I couldn't call him a FAIR person.  By his own admission, he will never admit anything obama does right.  He's not fair, and anyone who claims that is ignorant.  Maybe he's right, maybe he's awesome, maybe he's a cool cat, but he ain't fair in his coverage.

Rove, OReilly, Krauthammer, and a slew of other repubs and right-leaning pundits have BLAMED THE GOP for the shutdown.  Palin claimed obama won.  They're FAIR, and they lean right.  http://mediamatters.org/research/2013/10/04/after-admitting-gop-to-blame-for-shutdown-right/196281

I respectfully disagree.  Just because O'Reilly will be a prick to anyone who opposes him about anything does not mean he's fair.

By the same token, just because hard-hearted freaks Rove and Krauthammer (fuck, throw perpetually depressed Hume in there, too) decide to not go along with the transparently false company line that the dems were responsible for the shutdown does not mean that they're fair either.

Their seemingly fair comments make sense to me;  I think they've known for a while that all these dim-witted Tea Party jokers aren't as easy to control as the dim-witted evangelicals and other social conservatives they've used in the past were but are only recently realizing that the Tea Party's antics could mean the effective end of the GOP.  Say what you want about the GOP but the advantage that they've always had over the democrats was party discipline.  So if they're abandoning that, shit is serious.

Personally, I'll just pretend to post that infamous gif of the thriller-era Michael Jackson eating popcorn as I enjoy the show.

One of the things I always liked about Stewart is that he doesn't hesitate one second to mock the left for their fuckups.  If anything he seems to be a little more aggressive against them when they screw up shit.  I also like how he conducts his interviews.  I've seen him lay out some hard ass questioning but still keep it from breaking down.  I'd rather hear his interview with whoever than the shit you get from MSM which is totally worthless.  Stewart is clearly left wing so you are gonna have that tilt, but at the same time, you're not gonna find anyone on the right that does what Stewart does and nails people to the wall he would normally agree with when they are fuckups.  I haven't always agreed with him but I respect what he's done all these years.  If that's bad, sorry...

Agreed.

Great points.

When you say "Tea Party's antics could mean the effective end of the GOP"...

I haven't seen that written, but it really does ring true.  It's been 4-5 years now... and the party doesn't know if they're maverick palin, shutdown tea party, RINO romney, or what.  They'd better find a united image soon... cause 10% of their party staying home every time keeps losing them elections.
