Unless you're an athlete active in some sport, what else would you train for?

Even trying to get stronger all the time will just leave your body wrecked... using moderate weights, diet, and reasonable doses of steroids to get your goal physique is the only smart choice
[/quot

What sport is there that requires you to use reasonable doses of steroids to get your "goal" physique?

This.  I'm not getting paid to tackle people anytime soon  Coach, and anybody else can argue the point....but every single guy I know that's in his mid 40s and 50s that was a powerlifter..pushed heavy weights all the time....is all fucked up. I hear it every day...Old gym dogs telling their tale of woe.. bad discs, torn bicep, knees are fucked....and I'm like "gee that's too bad, That's why I don't squat or deadlift under 10 reps..ever"

I knew that was coming. Bodybuilding isn't a sport and bodybuilders aren't athletes. You're new at this aren't you?

the only powerlifters that stay relatively injury free are the natural ones that never amount to shit so go figure

powerlifting and strongman disagree.

You can do those naturally, to some degree of success....juicing helps a lot, of course.

But natural bodybuilding is really just a contest of conditioning

Fortress is an overgrown man-child, but he is strong.  He's done 600-700 squats if I'm not mistaken

lol it's irrelevant

arms are all that truly matters

Truth.  Ronald would be proud.  Big arms make all other body parts bigger.

You just proved my point...thanks. Walking on stage is not agility, it's not a game, definitely not a sport.

Stamina?......

I was referring specifically to the exercise involved. Weight training is athletic.

No, anyone can be taught to weight train. It doesn't make them athletic.

The ''natural''(LOL) ::) ones that blare metal and hate women..??..and never got past a mental age of 14??..and claim competitive ''natural'' bodybuilding stats
that rival(inch for inch and pound for pound) a prime Arnold??!!
no actual natural ones who can bench 315 for 1-5 reps after 12 years of training while fat and bloated
