I don't mind running in cold dry weather but it makes my eyes water, anybody else have this problem?

Zero interest in running in the rain.

Not my eyes so much as it feels like I'm getting stabbed in the lungs with every breath I take. Much prefer running in warmer weather. I live in area for trail running (the Black Forest - doesn't get much prettier), but I really don't enjoy getting out in the cold weather and having freezing cold air hitting my lungs.

Never too cold to run. I ran in 4 inches of snow for a couple miles, that was f`n hard. I trail run, going into the woods this time of year with all the colors is the best.

Same here. Here in the PacNW a treadmill is a LAST resort

I've found a good approach is to run twice a week and do a leg day in between: Run - Mon & Fri,; Legs - Wed.

running always gave me jacked up thighs

You wouldn't say that to Bruno: :-X

He has a massive neck, rock-hard biceps and meaty, menacing hands. A nimble bear of a man, he looks like he could have played for a Steelers team in the '70s. When he jogs seven miles around his Ross neighborhood, people recognize him right away.

Not even close. :'(

Lou Thesz was another advocate of running for conditioning.

I happen to agree with Man of Steel about "Runners" who do nothing but run. They tend to be very weak. IMO, running should be PART of an athletic training program, not the whole enchilada.

I totally agree.  Too many serious runners neglect strength or dont do enough to matter.

Was 28 degrees this morn, in my neck of the woods. Went for a 5k scamper. Wasn't too bad.

I know we have some runners, here. How cold does it have to be for you to not run? This is a question for Northeasterners, not you soft Florida and Cali types. ;)

I WOULD JOG IN 50 DEGREES.......MAYBE EVEN 40 DEGREES.

Pearl Izumi makes killer equipment.

I had a pair of the winter tights for riding. They were amazing.
