Why so brutal on the pros?
« on: January 03, 2006, 04:09:19 PM »

Why are so many just rude and brutal on the pros? A critique, fine, but some stuff is over the top.
It makes me wonder how many really like bodybuilding?

the guys who are bashing the pros are often the ones who have never competed so maybe they don't understand all the hardwork they have to do. or maybe it is only  because they are jealous cause they are 150 lbs

Man, it is brutally hard on dem pro. BBers...like training twice daily doing all dem double-split workouts...blitzin' all dem bodyparts...taking all dem oral and injectable BB drugs (man, don't you knows dat der needle-cushion asses get so sore dat dey can't even sit down!)...havin' dem be gettin' so many blow jobs from der fag fans dat dey gots to be real careful to wear a rubber, constantly, to prevent gettin' STD's...and still dey ain't gettin' enough $$$ from der fag fans dat dey even gots to deal illegal drugs like brudder Craiggers!...why, dey even have to hit an occasional convenience store and kill an occasional informer, or blackmailer!...cuz all dem drugs are costing more and more $$$ and dey gots to maintain THE BIG LIE (and, it's all da fault of dat #$@&%# Pres. Bush)!!

The hate comes from

* The Jealous

*The genetically cursed
-  guys who could never have a physique  anyone would noticed no matter how hard they worked out      *   The gay muscle worshipers  - those who have been rejected and rebuffed by their objects of desire

The Confused  ???
-those who seem to hate bodybuilding but have thousands of post on a bodybuilding website

Actually most of the hate comes from people who want to get pro's attention because they have shitty lives and they seek to put meaning to it by getting a rise out of them.  This is basically the way every troll works and very few of them are jealous of pro's.

God you people suck at teh internet ::)

(And anybody who disagrees with me is just jalous)

Gosh Rocket, maybe all of them BB drugs you have been taking has warped/destroyed your intelligence/common-sense!??

Jealous???!  Who in the hell (in their right mind!!) would be jealous of a drug-bloated, "dead-man-walking", pro. BB FREAK, with all of his associated serious health/longevity and reproductive problems!??  All the bodybuilding "fame-and-glory in the world" wouldn't begin to make up for the loss of one's precious health, reproductive capabilities, and lifespan (cut roughly in half)!!!

Rather, several all-natural, dedicated, hard-training, recreational BBers post here to try and warn the gullible, ignorant, youth, that come to this board, of the dangers of the deadly, illegal, alternative, BB drug route to BB success/progress; and of the on-going BIG LIE, and/or the "illegal BB drug-use/serious-health-issue cover-up", perpetuated by the BB mags which "glamorize" the sordid lives of pro. BBers!

Most bodybuilders train poorly. The difference between you and the pros is steroids. There are millions of people with better or equal genetics compared to the top guys.

I dunno if there are millions of guys out there with Ronnie Coleman or Paul Dillet's genetics...

I see black guys all the time that have a build similar to a young Ronnie Coleman. I see blocky white guys like Cutler too.

I don't really know what you are smoking but I suggest you come down off it before reading again what I said and how it has absolutely nothing to do with what the hell you are talking about.

I clearly stated that it had nothing to do with jealousy and was more indicative of troll mentality with people with any kind of significance in the public realm.  I have been on the internet for a long time.. over 10 years and if people think that there is anything unique about how people act here you are incorrect.  I don't know richard.. but the bit when I said very few of them are jealous should have I don't know.. perhaps set you straight ::)

I don't use bodybuilding drugs either, I'm not *into* bodybuilding so much that I would bother.  Its not the realm where I'm looking to make a mark.  Thus, I'm able to read and write perfectly well and not make stupendous mistakes like the one you just made ;D

I can understand it when some guy gets sent to jail or sells a helemt on e bay ;D, but why is it you read so much more negative stuff about the pros than positive? It seems everone and his bro posts some obscure, off season pic of the pro and then makes fun of it. Or they see him in the gym doing some light workout and they crack on him, etc.

What's more brutal?

Getting bashed by anonymous forum geeks,

or

Getting dwarfed by an Atlanta physics teacher who also stands slightly behind in the pic, just to rub it in?

Me neither. Howard seems a decent enough guy but let's get real here.

I think that everybody here is a fan of bodybuilding and a fan of pro bodybuilders or they would not be on this website, but we like to mess around that we why we make up goofy names (like mine) and post crazy stuff about the pros and things in general.

The truth is, no one respects professional bodybuilding--not even its hardcore "fans" -- and with good reason.  The sport is soiled by more stains and problems that I need recount here.  From illegal drug use/abuse, to inexplicable judging criteria, to the superficiality, to sex it is all one big circus.  Teenagers may find this amusing but humor and respect are two different things.

People respect and are genuinely interested in fitness, but professional bodybuilding and fitness have nothing to do with each other these days.

In addition, it’s hard to respect inarticulate young men whom have difficulty seeing beyond their next pump and end up crashing and burning by the time they hit 30.  Bodybuilding would be more respectable if it were undertaken by people who have accomplished things in life: got a degree, raised a family, engaged in meaningful employment, etc.  The single minded vanity associated with bodybuilding is not the sort of value responsible parents want to see in their kids.  :(

I don't know about millions, but I agree with what you say. People who tow the company line "the drugs only play a small part" are truly stupid.
