15 of 20 (75%) wallets "lost" by major Norwegian newspaper in Oslo, Norway were returned to the owner. This is in the city with probably the least trust in Norway, due to immigration and crime. What would the percentage be in the US?

Pretty funny and probably true.

Miracles do happen though...  I lost my wallet on a cruise once.  We were on excursion in Bermuda and I was snorkeling.  2 days later someone brought it back to the ship... 3 credit cards and $300 in cash still inside... I was amazed.  :o

Pretty sure if i was to lose my wallet in the company of goodrim, wiggs and g thang the wallet would be promptly returned maybe even with an extra 20 slipped in for my troubles....

Never lost my wallet, but I dropped it once. Dude picked it up, handed it to me and we both apologized to each other. Fucking Canadians. We don't have the stones to snatch the bills and return a wallet empty. ;D

I had my wallet stolen twice....Once out of my car that was parked in my garage and once from my locked gym locker...

I only lost my wallet one time and that was in a recently gentrified area, still had plenty of seedy parts- not unusual to see a hooker here and there. It was turned into the police station the next day with all my stuff still in it.

On the flip side I walked into the locker room at my gym and saw a wallet on floor. I looked around and saw no one in the locker room. I picked it up to hand it in to the front desk. As Im walking out with the wallet in my hand a guy is walking in and says "What the fuck are you doing with my wallet?"

I explained but the dude insisted on being a dick about it.

left my wallet in various places on 3 occasions. everytime returned to police. and they called me to come pick it up.

once the money was gone- it was only $20. the other times all the money was still there.

left my phone in a taxi once...that was never seen again.

I aint seen a dollar from a lost wallet. Thats why I dont carry one all the cash is in the front pocket.
