yah fuck that old school stuff, unwashed half mongoloid with acne, bladf head trying to look "scary" walking with ils as if they conquered the planet.

best if those fat fucks stay in their "hardcore" basements haha.

i prefer the half way social modern gyms, theyre clean, everyone, EVERYONE can train there intensive enough dont give me that bullfuckshit about the dumbells too small, what the fuck dumbel too small.

modern gyms are clean, have hot women in them, nice on the eyes, and have jacuzi for fre, no need to run for the protein shake after training.

haha oldschool fatsos, if they werent so fat and looked decent theyd be walking in the busiest gyms with the spagetti tank tops

the dumbells not heavy enough. oh brother.

what you gonna do with dumbells?squat?

chalk? chalk?really?

why not use the bare hands instead ::)

thank you,  i got a "modern gym" in ny, this girl is always walking around the gym in a comparable outfit

I'll take that over anything "hardcore" everyday of the week

Very nice. Great home gym.

I had a well equipped home gym in NY.  I used it to hang clothes on that I didn't want to shrink in the dryer.

Lol @ coach...yes I'm such a pussy in the gym  ::) ::) sorry but I don't feel like pissing in a bucket in a janitor closet.

it's all about money.

the old school hardcore gyms don't make money. to run one you'd be working for free or doing charity or running it like a non-profit.

equipment is expensive, leases are expensive, insurance is expensive, power bills are expensive.

bodybuilders and hardcore trainers are a niche market, whereas a 'modern gym' is appealing to a large market or regular people who are intimidated by hardcore dudes.

only benefits to these places are the equipment. Reverse hyper, glute ham raise machine (a good one), and a safety squat bar or cambered squat bar are all great tools. Now that Im training back seriously again I would love to get a cambered bar for good mornings to build up those spinal erectors.  I have found for taller guys with long legs, the hamstrings are just very hard to isolate with the exception of leg curls.... RDL's and good mornings  do notihng for my hamstrings for example...all lower back.  and when I start training legs seriously my ass gets huge but hamstring  development lags behind.....and this is not a good look for a guy.

I train in my basement.
do you plan to create rooms down there later? or leave it unfinished
no risks of basement flooding where you live?

Fact..DB's and BB's get you bigger than machines. Commercial gyms are the pussification of bodybuilding. If you're in a gym to train then it shouldn't make any difference. If you're looking a "fluff and fold" (as what most commercial gyms are) type "fitness center" to workout and not train and worried about getting a little sweat on your shirt, then the commercial gym is for you (or anyone else who wants this type).

I would choose a metro-flex-type gym than a LA Fitness, Golds, 24hr fitness for bodybuilding purposes any day witmhout hesitation. I would love to visit metro-flex in Arlington one day.

After training with machines for almost two years exclusively and being one of those guys who said "muscles only know tension".... and seeing dramatic changes in a short time once I hit free weights again while changing  absolutely nothing else  in my routine I have come to the conclusion that free weights give faster gains.

Nothing for me, I use perfect form. I mean I feel a stretch in the hamstrings but it doesn't work them at all.  I have a short torso with long legs so I guess that changes the biomechanics of the exercise.

Dude don't take this as an insult but are you sure you're doing it properly? I'm just checking because many don't. There's a difference between SDLs and RDLs. The difference is major when it comes to hitting the hammies.

I bought a 65lb cambered bar off craigslist so I could squat as I gained back shoulder mobility while recovering from surgery.  I use it exclusively now, and probably won't go back to the straight bar.

Try:

-using dumbbells instead of a barbell
-putting 5lb plates underneath the balls of your feet

thank you,  i got a "modern gym" in ny, this girl is always walking around the gym in a comparable outfit

I'll take that over anything "hardcore" everyday of the week
thats the way to go.not being a hermit afraid to go with the times.respect.i hope you do very well,it would be my prefered choice to do the same i fid go self employed.

yeah, sometimes the fitness gyms are cesspool for gay paople, so what.

yeah, sometimes theres ppl there doing very stupid things, like today one guy with sticks for legs used the hammer smith sqaut thing, but only with one leg,he alternated the legs after every rep haha, but if one cant take those in fun and laugh about it, maybe he has social issues?
cant walk through life being a miserable cnut every day all day,no?whats the point of life then.
its not like anyone posting here is prepping for the mr olympia.

and yeah, theres girls int he gym, yeah maybhe its even girls who are into training and stuff.good chance to find a girl there who is  into the same lifestyle, who understands when your meals are often chickenbreast, instead mcdonalds at the slightest hint of apetite.

chances are,she trains too(no shit girl going to gym to train), this means she cares about being in shape, not just covering up weaknesses with mascara and sell the fake package to the first best breeding mate fucktard.

to the many girls outside gym, muscular guys seem akward if they dont have the charme, but within a gym, if one doesnt chalk up his hands and avoids walkng round ils, its all good, they will understand that you do a cycle here and there etc.

training in basement, i consistently see fatsos doing that, its ok to each their own.
lol@ traning with the "essential" hardcore equipment in an unventilated basement haha, meanwhile in the ral world, gyms have machines superiorly imitating the perfect muscle movement and rom.sparing the joints.

the gym is also superficial and cruely comptitve place, thres always some ppl in great shape thr and this is good thing, if one dosnt see this as good thing, but as intimidating and reason for jealousy, yeah wrong sprot, buddy, train at home in a basement.,

the competitiveness, wanting to outdo eachothers, this is priceless and cant be emulated in some basement looking at a flex poster of a phsique outside the realm of reality.

chalk, dumbells too small, oh brother we have couple badasses here.welcome to the 21th century

we lift weights to increase muscle mass because we want to impress, scare, other people and/or seduce them which makes us feel better about ourselves. Wether you train at home or in a public gym the ultimate goal is always the same.
