What 2013 tax increases?
typical liberal ignorance. just because the tax tables don't increase for a particular range of AGI doesn't mean that total income taxes don't go up for those taxpayers. phase out amounts and maximum credit amounts have been reduced for taxpayers in the lower brackets as well as the higher brackets for 2013.
depending on what your situation is there is also a 3.87% tax on sales of property for 2013. for most people who sold their principal residences, this isn't a problem as they have their exclusion. but for the taxpayers who have rental properties this can be a big hit.
and in spite of what the liberal media likes to tell you, people who own more than 1 piece of property aren't all rich white guys. but you'll probably chalk up that 3.87% as peanuts right? another tax you're going to forgive?
see each tax taken by itself never seems like much. but my job is to prepare tax returns, where people see their bottom line. did they have enough paid in? or do they owe? why do they owe? clients don't care about each tax imposed on them. they care about the check they have to write on April 15th. and these things add up. faster than most think.
