Anyone else notice how their pumps are better when they work out a muscle multiple times a week?

kinda sorta......I try not to train a muscle too terribly often.......for instance......this last week.....I worked bis three times.....but only 6 sets at a time......great pump!!!! only exercise I am using for bis is hammer curls.

sensational pump in the bis!!!!

so yes......I do get a nice pump with a little more frequency.....but definitely be wary of over training......I am working bis three times in one week.....but only 18 sets over 3 days.......ie......mon 6 sets.......wed 6 sets........fri 6sets.

Actually no....I haven't noticed that at all.

I've decreased the number of sets and I'm noticing a difference.

I don't need as many sets as I thought to see results. It's nice.

Just curious why only hammer curls?

notice less pump and less fullness if I train more frequently than less, get leaner faster though.

Haven't noticed better pumps, but have seen better progress since I switched to 3 days a week full body type workouts. As BigRo mentioned I also noticed that it's easier to stay leaner training this way.

Right now I'm training upper body 3 times a week (4-6 sets for chest, back shoulders and 3-4 sets for bis, tris and forearms) and legs 2-3 times a week

Once I burn out on this I am going to try a 3 day full body workout
I've never done it in my life (and I have been working out for 30+ years) but I'm curious about giving it a shot

Yeah, doesn't work with low carb diets.

Moderate carbs and a moderate deficit... pumps pumps pumps.

how often do you train each muscle? and as you got progressively bigger and stronger did you train each muscle less frequently?

High frequency training can be the cat's a -- if you do it right. Don't go to failure and keep the intensity in the 70-85 % range. Strength will shoot up for sure, pumps are good, but for size I think a split routine is better where you go all out.

try it. Only compound lifts. I like splits and full Body. Both are great but full Body is not just for beginners.
