Alright I will post a serious response. This guy would not have likely been a RB. He would have been converted to LB Or DE. Possibly TE if he could catch. A guy that tall would just be a huge target. Especially his knees. IF he had played RB he would have taken a shitload of punishment. Kinda like Christian Okoye. Most dominant RB's in the NFL are 6ft and more compact.

The truth is both sports have superb athletes and players at the top of both sports would probably excell (with the right training) at either.

Incidentally the reason that NFL players wear padding is not because of the huge hits exactly... its because they wear helmets. As soon as you wear helmets, you need body protection...
