Well, I suppose but at Gold's Venice in those years there were benches (not workout benched) close to the squat racks and if someone was just sitting there it would have been weird. Dude was there fairly often. Paid some dudes to let him watch them train biceps. I seem to recall $100 per workout but this was 20 F-ing years ago so I might be wrong.
