By your rationale, since the majority of people believe in some sort of invisible man in the sky, therefore it must be true right?  I mean how could billions of people get it so wrong?

Moron.

Wrong.....as usual

You are one of the dumbest of the self annointed "experts" on this board

what you wrote doesn't even make any sense (like many of your posts)

just because millions of people like/purchase something doesn't mean it's good i.e. not shit

hence, just because million of people believe something doesn't mean it's true (this is where you attempt to conflate my statement to a belief/support of a "sky god" makes absolutely no sense)

and if people on the left, right and center (and even those who are apolitical) share a similar point of view then how can that point of view also be a political statement?

I shouldn't be surprised that you were so easily confused since you're the guy who simultaneously claims it's a myth that there are not preservatives in McDonalds meat and then later claim that all cheese has a preservative because it has salt

here is what Cholo4life wrote and my response is below

For most people bashing McDonalds is some kind of political statement. If it wasn't you just wouldn't eat it and move on. The McDonalds haters would rather patronize their local place that's barely staying in business and cutting every corner when it comes to what it puts in its food just to make a profit.

how is it a political statement when people from left right and center all say it's shit

some people just have low standards for the food they put in their body (and also their palate might be altered by a constant diet of shitty food)

and a second post for even further context

lots of people have very low standards for the food they put in their body

and selling a shit ton of product doesn't make it any less shitty

Yes, but just because a subset of people say it's shitty, doesn't make it so either does it?

Why were you excited?  Just curious?  if they made you so sick and are such shit why did you crave it?  The commericals?  The signs?  Of all the burger places what made you want this?  Honestly, if someone asked me to go grab a burger,  McDonalds doesn't even enter my mind.
I uswd to it eat all the time, and loved it. Then I actually stopped eatonf fast food altogether when I started dieting... fast forward several months of making everything at home, pasta, steak, chicken, ehat have you, and I got home super late last night so I decided to grab a doubld QP as I didnt want to cook. I was excited because I used to love them.

about mid way through, ralph city. Apparently when I stopped eatong fast food and my body adjusted to not having it, the shit made me sick as fuck. As an experiment I tried again today, on a smaller scale, same result

something in their burgers makes me very sick. I did have their mcchicken a couple weeks ago and it didnt have this effect. Its the burgers.

Very odd.

It is possible it's mental, but I mean, if you don't eat their burgers, it's no big deal I don't think.

With the population rising world wide, there's plenty of people who will eat your patty.  (no homo)

Perhaps you are gluten intolerant and it's the bun that got you.

I've never had any personal issue with eating any food from anywhere.

nope. See above.  Had a mcchicken a couple weeks ago. Not the same. Ive only eaten mcds a couple times in at least 3-4 months. After cutting out all fast food and then tryinh a Mcds burger, insta sick. And it wasnt a 1 time thing... tried again today at lunch as an experiment (and because o forgot my lunch)

I would agree, if I jad ANY reservations about eating it or if I thought it was shitty. I did not. Not until I got sick, that is.

Yes, but just because a subset of people say it's shitty, doesn't make it so either does it?

it's shit because it's low quality ingredients, loaded with sodium, etc...

and I'm not just talking about McDonalds

this applies to most national fast food chains but I'm sure there are some exceptions (at least for specific menu items)

For example, you could construct a decent meal at Chipotle and they actually have a decent quality of the food (not the best but it's still a national fast food chain)

http://www.chipotle.com/en-us/menu/nutrition_calculator/nutrition_calculator.aspx

I tried Chik Fil a when it came to town and had their smallest sandwich and all I could taste was the sodium
I went back to my office and looked up the nutrition info and this little sandwich that I ate in about 4 bites had almost 1400 mg of sodium

I find nothing shitty about it... It's not "shitty" for any reason you just described.

It's shitty because you SAY those things make it shitty.

You don't know how any food is unless YOU make it... You can go to the nicest restaurant on the planet and they make their food similarly.

YOU just don't say it's shitty because YOU don't know how THEY make their food.

That's all there is to it.

You can say it all day and night, but that doesn't make it true.

The ingredients are not low quality.  Sodium is irrelevant, especially when you drink enough water.  Someone could easily order from Chipotle and go over the sodium of what a Double Cheeseburger has.  Furthermore, there is no standard measure to Chipotle as its all just eyeballed by whoever is making your burrito.

You are a moron.

for me if it has low quality ingredients and needs to use a ton of sodium then it's shit

also, and just as important it tastes like shit to me

if you like it then that's fine

everyone has different standards.

my neighbor thinks his Kia is an awesome car but I'd rather have my Lexus

I'd rather buy really high quality grass fed beef or bison and make my own burger at home

I'm sure you make all of your burgers yourself ALL of the time.

::)

Even then, you have NO idea that what you are eating is what you THINK you are eating.

You don't know if that beef is actually grass fed or anything of the sort.

You're just believing what someone puts on a label.

I guess Caviar is low quality since its relatively high in sodium.  ::)

sodium is relevant if it's the ONLY thing you can taste and until recently your beloved McDonalds was serving you meat made with pink slime

if that's your definition of a high quality or even "quality" ingredient then obviously we have different standards

Regarding Chipotle (and again, I'm not surprised you need this explained to you), I said you could "construct a decent meal"

I didn't say that you couldn't also construct a not so decent meal yet the reality that the quality of their meat and other ingredients appear to be far superior to McDonalds, et al.

BTW - according to McDonald a double cheeseburger weights 5.4 ounces where as all the meat "servings" at Chipotle are 4 oz each so  feel free to show me how you add another 1.4 ounces to complete the "meal" at Chipotle in order to make a valid comparison to your double cheeseburger

Any of that store bought meat or chicken?

Ohhh I ate at mcdonalds and now my tummy hurts.

Wahhhhhhh :'(

Might as well throw away Balik Smoked Salmon because its low quality, high sodium at 311 US Dollars for 500 grams.

Its the preservativesv that shock the body and cause one to feel like hell. If you've been away from preservative s for awhile, your body will react when you ingest them after a break.

Wrong.

Totally wrong.  Your body does not have any special signals to "detect" a preservative.  You actually think you know EXACTLY when you are eating Seaweed, which is a common preservative and is all natural?

You sliced it incorrectly and it looks a bit over done.

Hope this helps.  Also, NY Strip is okay, but a real steak is a Ribeye, preferably a cowboy steak.  Hope this helps.

Learn how to slice your meat correctly.  It will make a world of difference in flavor and chew.

Also, you have visible wads of fat on that meat that could have been charred for more taste.  Try again.

again you seem to need everything explained to you

sodium, in and of itself is not the issue

salmon roe is one of the foods with the highest amount of Omega 3 and it doesn't have to be high in sodium

Here is the stuff I actually buy and it has 308 mg in a one ounce serving so even 3 ounces (which is enough for a meal) is less than a gram

http://www.vitalchoice.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=330&idcategory=283

this is the same place I buy my sardines (by the case when they are in stock)

Looking at your meat again, you have no visible sear on it, no crust.

You would have been better off at Outback, which has consistent quality and actually uses Prime.

At least you sous vide.  However, you really need to work on your sear.  It sucks.  And your slicing.  You shouldn`t have that much gummy fat after a proper sear.
