I brought Ron Love to Oz a few times in the late 80s / early 90s. He was a great guest and always popular with the fans. Does anyone really know where he is. Can someone confirm if he is in jail (Ron)?

a website dedicated to the early days of bb. It is a good site, but I wouldn't register with their message board if I were you. They censor any and all comments that are even slightly critical of ironage bb. |

Ron Love was an 80s bodybuilder that competed with with Leee Haney, Shawn Ray, Mike Ashley and other bodybuilders from that era. He is african-american. This guy competed before Vince McMahon's WBF...so this was years ago...
I believe he was a cop so how the heck could he be in jail?

That makes me sad to hear how Ron has gotten himself into trouble. He's one of only two pros I've ever personally met back in the day. My buddy and I hung out with him once (must've been around 1990 or 91) when he came to a TX health food store to promote PurePower products. He sat and talked with us for like an hour. He was a nice, laid-back guy and as has been mentioned, a former Detroit cop, so this news comes as a bit of shock but it seems to be legit. Very sad.  |
