There is a huge portion of Christians who believe the evolutionary theory, there's many that have issues with evolution, but believe the science behind the age of the universe and earth. Only the ones who disregard science and read the Genesis stories as a science book, instead of Hebrew poetry, have issues like that.

I think they decided it must have been his sister. However, after he kills Abel, God sends him away to roam the earth as punishment. Before doing so, He "marks" Cain so that no man can kill him.

It sucks that this ivan drago character is the one left defending religious people.

What makes non religious people do good things?

If there is no one to answer to, is that free reign to be self centered and completely self serving?

Just curious.

Do you really need to ask why atheists do good things?  Because treating people like shit is a poor survival strategy.  It's in an individuals best interest to co-operate, simply put, it works for the individual.  It amazes me that morality is even linked to religion considering how immoral and evil religion and it's devotees are.  If you need a reason to treat people well then you are a fucking idiot.  Religion is EVIL and the very antithesis of morality.  Hope this helps.

“Do those people who hold up the Bible as an inspiration to moral rectitude have the slightest notion of what is actually written in it?” ― Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion

Ivan please explain to me since when the bat is a bird, I need another good laugh:

11 You may eat any clean bird. 12 But these you may not eat: the eagle, the vulture, the black vulture, 13 the red kite, the black kite, any kind of falcon, 14 any kind of raven, 15 the horned owl, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk, 16 the little owl, the great owl, the white owl, 17 the desert owl, the osprey, the cormorant, 18 the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe and the bat.

We become our own Gods, and remember God is a jealous God, with no God above all others...
So we demand that everything is about us, and no one is above us...self centered and self absorbed.
