At what age did you figure out bodybuilding is gay?

Are you a fan now simply because you have already invested many of your formative years in learning the names of the various athletes, and feel a mixture of disgust and nostalgia as you talk about it?

Sort of like a bad 80s hair band that you rocked out to and yet nobody will cop to it.

the camera swung to the audience which was full of men in tight t shirts looking very embarrassed

as oiled up men stuck their glutes in their faces

it crossed my mind at that point that it could be considered slightly homo

now i realise being 'big' isnt attractive to women. its unattractive. the only thing it attracts is other guys.

About half a year in for the most part, then it just evolved from there. I was lucky enough to stumble upon a old newsgroup called Misc.Fitness.Weights where many of the industry insiders posted before bodybuilding forums, and they'd get angry and gossipy and air anyones business out. From drug use to gay for pay (or pleasure).

Another interesting thing about newsgroups back then is that you could cross post to all sorts of unrated groups so you get gay guys from Soc.Motss or Schmoes from Alt.Amazon.Admirers relating that Bodybuilder XYZ was in town looking for dates or rolled them for cash.

It was fun times.
