I love my food as much as the next guy but wearing that tank top/t-shirt with the veins popping and muscles toned is just a greater desire.
You just got to know when you are letting yourself go too much and at that point drop the damn fork.
And I really can't make it any more clear than that.
If you're in shape and you let yourself go a little this is a definite, correct common sense approach.
If you're obese and never been in shape or it's been a very long time since you were in shape this mindset ain't there.
That's what I've attempted to illustrate in this thread, but ain't nobody reading it and/or responding to it LOL. There is a mental disconnect in the brain of an obese person that develops and causes them to process eating, overeating and food differently than the thin person. The thin, inshape person fully understands the ramifications of over indulging and takes action to correct what they've done without question or hesitation.
If the thin person eats too much cheesecake they work it off like crazy immediately.
If the obese person eats too much cheesecake they tend to get depressed about overeating the cheesecake and in attempt to feel better they eat more of the cheesecake.
Sad as it is I've stood firmly on both sides of this situation.
Somewhere along the way the obese person passed the "letting themselves go a little" place and entered a vicious spiral of sugar and taste addiction. The food that corrupted them and continues to corrupt them is ironically their greatest source of comfort and pleasure....they hate overeating, but they love to over eat.
For a sugar and taste addict the whole notion of "just drink water and eat a salad" stuff doesn't work. Water has no taste and salad has no sugar and often poor taste LOL.
Over time the obese person's desire and will power becomes as soft as their body.
