i had no idea so many guys here are well read.
from time to time a thread will pop up when guys reference some pretty good reads.
i was hoping we could start a thread where we categorise the type of literature you're into (ie fiction, historical fiction, non fiction, historical non fiction, biographical etc) and the books you recommend that others should pick up.
for historical fiction look to conn iggdulen. man i was surprised to see so many of you knew about him. i stumbled upon him by accident in the library one day. the cover of the book looked good so i picked it up. it was wolf of the plains. been hooked since. he sticks to the script historically but breathes life into the characters. his series on julius ceaser and genghis kahn are great reads. christian camerons God of War as told by ptolemy about the life of alexander the great was very entertaining as well.
for fiction series check out the jack reacher books by lee child. page burners. also really like james rollins stuff. nelson demille in general, the john corey books in particular. i just cant get into jack higgins or robert ludlum for some reason.
non fiction, i really liked Walden by henry david thoreau.
post them up! i need some good reads. the next two biographies on my list are phil jacksons and mike tysons.
