Is this your normal everyday diet or is it when cutting or maintaining whilst cut?
Any re-feed days at all?
ive been fucking around with the system a lot.
to answer your question, my every day diet doesnt involve counting cals, and has no regimentation whatsoever- carbs proteins fats its all ball/ junk food etc- the only thing i do all year round is train fasted, and fast after a big meal. just by doing this i can stay within 4-5% of my best, but that 5% to me is still sloppy weight bourne of being lazy. there is no need for it, but like the thread says i have a disorder of all or nothing. be lean or walk around slightly chubby (you know how it is when your not shredded your chubby no matter what your bf is), so miantenance isnt possible for me, as much as i wished it could be. i either have to be totally dieting or not. there is no middle ground, which really sucks because i suffer great fluctuations in the way i 'look' imo.
when im ok time to get lean what i found works absolutely best for me is total keto for the days im low cal. typically low cal for me is around 1200-1600 depending on how much pb i ate that day 1600 being very high and not as rule more of an anomaly. i have upped my cals somewhat as i have started doing a bit more cardio than i ever have- started playing basketball again and at least 3-4 times a week im in the gym shooting around. because my knees are fucked atm, i cant play run and gun, just shoot around by myself but even this is enough to get my HR over 130. i find on keto i can have a bit higher cals and not have it impact my energy levels as my cals climb a bit, whereas w cabs in the diet is i was approaching 1600 id get lethargic as hell.
i have been having a carb refeed every 4 days or so. what im finding is that i might not need it at e4d. the day after the fast- so about 36 hours post carbs i start to pull out of the lethargy i experience from eating carbs. im starting to wonder if it is even worth it. i *think* as im no scientist but it stands to reason if i run high energy on fat/pro, and get lethargic on carbs, is my bodies ability to burn fat may also being impeded. tbh im starting to realise maybe im just not meant or built to eat carbs, but they taste so good- i dont think about them when im in the heart of the protein/ fat so WHY i eat them i dont know. prolly cause i like pizza.
