That entire period had great physiques. Zane, Columbu, Platz, Arnold, Fox.

But I feel by the mid-80s they had diet and training down to a science. Which is reflected in their highly-developed and more balanced physiques during the 85-91 period compared to the 70s and early 80s. It's when they cracked the code, pretty much. Then Dorian came along and Ronnie and bodybuilding became the stuff only a handful of fanatics and perverts aspire to be associated with. The average man doesn't want to look like Phil Heath nor has any means to do so. Many would prefer Ray's, Haney's, or Labrada's bodies in that time period.

haney's 91 look makes this look like he was 4-5 wks out,labrada looked good but smaller/ray was softer /still had full look and shape,gaspari was on way down even from 89 start and by 91 done,he looked worn /down sized .
