Especially as a guitarist, Warren Di Martini has always been one of my idols.

Stephen Pearcy? Mmmmmm... not so much, but he did fit the band and they did have quite a number of hits.

I wonder how old his sister was? The internet doesn't say...

Been a MONSTER fan since Out of the Cellar was released way, way back.

I even own both his and Blotz's (drummer) autobiographies.

Pearcy is a shit singer, technically, but I really dig his voice and style. And he isn't some slouch in the songwriting department, that's for sure.

Ratt is his band, when all is said and done. It really is.

As a fan, I am SO happy the group retains, at least at present, four of the original (well, classic line-up original) members. Juan coming back (for more) really made me smile.

Warren is one of my all-time faves, as well. I mean, just listen to his playing on the debut. Holy shit. And although his approach and sound/tone have changed somewhat over the years, he's incredibly gifted and still fantastic.

Old fan here as well. Favorite band in high school; in fact, their EP was the first cassette I ever owned. Saw them at least once every tour until they broke up in the early 90s. When Michael Schenker replaced Crosby at a gig in Irvine, we knew they were circling the drain.

I also liked Arcade's first record, but never cared for any of Pearcy's subsequent bands.

Years later, saw them again in Hollywood on the reunion tour, and they still sounded pretty good, especially Warren. No more concerts for me, but I was very pleasantly surprised by most of "Infestation," their last record. Several killer tracks. Studio magic even made Pearcy's waning voice sound like vintage Ratt.

The first RATT cassette I got was a free one, as part of the Columbia House records and tapes club.    You know, the deal where you get 11 free albums cassettes for a penny if you agree to purchase 8 more later at regular price.

I love round and round. Don't really remember the other hits. Can someone post some of the best Ratt songs?

Thanks Mike! I was born in 81, so I was a little too young to appreciate hair metal back then.

It is a great genre. Why does it seem like the guitar solo is a lost art these days?

IF you saw the behind the music on them they were dual guitarists and waren took center by 2nd and 3rd albums which kinda killed Crosby in terms of band contribution and booze/drugs,dude stood out'crosby'large compared to the smaller guys, but he did that whole stand there point to crowd thing instead of playing .

Music now is complete shit! No musicianship, talent, everything is overdubbed, auto tuned shit! 80's were a great time for Guitar driven Rock, Metal, Hard Rock what have you! Lot's of great talent especially Guitar!

D'Martini was great, besides Ratt he was in Dokken, White Snake, and played with Ozzy!

Shit, did not know this, but I'd mostly grown out of "glam" by then.

Lay it Down, and You're in love, has some of the best melodic riffs by DiMartini!

Listen to "Eat Me Up Alive" from the latest record. Heaviest riff in their catalogue.
