Alot of people wrongly assume that's what arnold looks like off gear but we know he built a solid base.  I've seen it mentioned a few times he literally stopped weights altogether in that late 70's period and was running all the time, doing nothing to maintain mass.

By March 76 Arnold was pretty much this small, after winning the Olympia just 4 months earlier in Africa 75 !!!

Now 52 years later it's still very impressive. In his prime he was decades ahead of the rest. Even his face looks relaxed, the result of lots of posing practice and confidence.
