I heard some Nautilus equipment is amazing. Built to last and targets whatever muscle group perfectly. I remember a Hammer Strength Leg press (may have been a different brand) that a gym I used to go to had. It was hinged and swung instead of being a straight up and down mechanic. It was brilliant because your feet stayed flat on the pad the entire time and fried your legs. People were always complaining about it because you couldn't' load it with silly weight; there was simply no momentum to help you move the weight.

Maybe that old blue colored line was great, which was adjusted for excentric loads. Never had the chance to try those.
My gym has this grey colored line. Often the seats drop down during heavy sets and often the weight stacks are too light for working sets, esp their leg & back machines.
