The thing is, I don't know why the mods are bitching and moaning. He willingly posted his own name (if thats him). How can he complain when
hes "outted?" 
EXACTLY.
But in general I am philosophically oppose to the very concept of zero tolerance. It's just an excuse not to think. All situations and acts are defined by it's context. You can have two very similar or exact same situations that are completely different depending on context. Cutting open your chest can be an act of cruel violence or a delicate surgical procedure.
Remember that famous picture of the South Vietnamese Chief of Police executing the NVC in the streets during the Tet offensive? It was used by the anti war protesters to further discredit the fight against Communist expansion. It was to show the brutality of the US endorsement and support of the South. But little did the Americans know that the person being executed was head of a Viet Cong death squad and had just murdered the family of a South Vietnam official, including his 80 year old mother (his 10 year old son manage to survive).
All you see is the Chief of Police shooting an unarmed man in the street and cry "War crime!"
Context is everything. That's why you see these kids being suspended, expelled and even arrested for bringing a plastic knife or toy gun to school. Why a father is sent to jail for making his 12 year old kid walk home alone for a whole mile so he can think about the transgression he just committed.
Zero Tolerance Policy = No Thinking Policy
