Not uncommon to lose height. My last physical for baseball in H.S.I was 6'1.5" or 6'1.75", I forget. Now I'm down to 6ft or maybe 6' 1/4"... Not counting hair lol. Heavy squating and deads did a number on my back + degenerated discs in my C4-C7

As summer '00 Arnold was still a good 6'1" because he was about eye to eye with me when he donated (almost) all new equipment to my old h.s. gym.  Maybe 50 of us showed up for a big ribbon cutting ceremony and shit. I met him at the 75 Olympia, I was only ten and I asked him how tall he was, he said 6'2
I met him again in 2000 when he was opening a gym, he told me he was 6ft and that he was getting a bad vibe from a guy slightly taller than him , not by much though only around 1/8 of an inch.
Anyway I phoned him last night because of this thread, he asked me was I still training FABIO, I told him he must be thinking of someone else, anyway he confirmed he was 5'10 now.

GetBig's own Vince B measured him circa 1968 at about 6.1 3/4. He was probably still growing by that stage (21 years old) and may have been a solid 6' 2" at his tallest. I forget if Arthur Jones measured him around 1969 or 1970.

I measured Arnold's height at 6 1 1/2 inches at night in Mit's Gym, Honolulu in early February 1969.

I think it's ridiculous people still claim against people that have actually measured him.  Photos and even meeting someone and trying to gauge height just by looking doesn't work. I can literally be 2 inches taller just by standing totally upright with proper posture

He was 6'1.5" in his heyday [depending on the time of day, and a little taller in the morning, most likely], and is shorter today - probably 6'0.5" or 6'0, considering he is 70.  I would be surprised if he was under 6'0 bare feet today, despite his age.

Also, just look at him walking around in videos - look at the length of his arms; they look long.  Stuff like that will clue a person into someone's height even if they are not perfect techniques to use.  He was in a photo with Gunter, and they both looked to be the same height.  When he was giving Gunter his award at the 2003 Olympia, they both looked the same height too, only it was then that I realized Gunter was barefoot and Arnold had dress shoes on.  So I got confused again, but there is always the matter of angles to deal with.

Final answer = 6'1.5 in his prime, and today he may have lost up to [but likely no more than] 1.5".

Not many people have measured Arnold's height. I have. All the rest is just conjecture and not worth the effort. Arnold was/is the tallest Mr Olympia by far. End of story.
