I used to hang out with friends that did this a lot... probably ten years back. They were going so fast up near the interstate that they already knew they would get away with it, if police tried pulling them over. They were going over 100 mph. If anything resembling a cop came into their view or rear-view, they would literally drive a mile and turn down a sidestreet and completely disappear behind a house or building before the cop could catch up. They all laughed about it, how many times they tried to stop them, and they got away. Then one day, one of the dudes ran into the back of a trash truck and was killed instantly. Everyone melted about how his fmaily should sue, how the system was "fixed" so nobody pressed charges.
I dont know they don't literally take away the drivers license for 5 years, if a dude is caught riding a bike 50 mph over the limit.
