Dude, you could go and push your car to the gas station b/c you ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere.
Trust me when I tell you, the next day you will have D.O.M.S. everywhere.
So, would you bring your car into the gym???
Saying that the eccentric phase of a contraction is generally known to cause D.O.M.S is a myth. In actuality, what causes D.O.M.S. specifically has not yet been scientifically proven.
Now, if I put you through a day of PNF stretching, or even if you had an extreme deep-tissue massage, do you think you would be sore the next day?
In summary: Machines are NOT going more D.O.M.S than free weights or anything else.
Some people don't ever get sore after anything, others get sore over anything... especially something new.
I think there are all different kinds of post-workout pain that we just randomly call "D.O.M.S"
