Meh. Between Garfield and Field trying out-emote each other and the, count them, three endings, I'd give it a 'C.'

I saw it this weekend. There were children crying in the theatre at the climax of the movie.

Uhhh...Steve Ditko is still alive and Johnny Romita designed the Rhino in the comics... But I'm sure they both did a twirl when they saw their characters in this movie.  ;)

John Romitas Spiderman was the best one

Either way Ditko and Romita are absolute legends.

I guess the question is, who will die first Stan Lee or Steve Ditko.

And for your information, legend
Dick Ayers died today at 90. Not many of the greats are left.

as the credits rolled I looked at my 14yr old son and said, "they just killed the franchise".

I bet your son liked it.  Seems they are promoting to adults but making the films for tweeners

Hollywood fucks up the movies with their casting choices as well. Half of these fruits shouldn't even be considered and what's with purposefully changing the races of established characters? At this point I think Mike Tyson would fit in well for the role of Dr. Strange (someone photo shop that!)

Saw it today.  Bloated and silly.  The villain(s) were ridiculous.  The romance bullshit was over the top and annoying.  The CGI was overkill.  The guy who plays Spiderman can't act for shit and gives off a gay vibe.

Don't waste your money.

A Neegul as Electro and A Robot as Rhino was the worst choices ever!

Yeah he doesn't pay his electric bill and that's how Spiderman defeats him

Why is hollywood forcing blacks into traditional white roles? Saw they are making a new Annie movie with a black kid.  Same as the last karate kid.  Foxx has no business being elecktro.  Paul Giamati is an amazing actor but horribly miscast to play Rhino Robot.  I did see that in the Justice League movie they cast a black actor for Cyborg.  Hollywood would never dare change that role to a white.

Hollywood has been trying to diversify a lot of roles lately, even changing gender. "Jenny Olsen" in the MOS movie. Fans want to see the roles cast as the character is in the comic book.

silly rabbit, fox wasn't the problem with the movie.  the problem was the two emos and the bland ass relationship with that hideous blond.

fishburne was an excellent perry white.

diggs would make a sick john stewart, better than that assclown ryan reynolds.

Nah, Idris Elba would.  Fucking Ryan Reynolds was the worst choice until Ben Assfleck takes the screen as batman

Marvel should just stop making movies
90% of their stuff is embarrassing to watch.. Especially for long time comic readers... Once Disney bought marvel that was the nail in the coffin
..

Something you need to know. It isn't Marvel/Disney that is making "bad" movies. Sony owns Spidey and Fox owns the X-Men and Fantastic Four (they recently lost Daredevil back to Marvel). If you see what Marvel Studios is putting out you'll notice how good their movies are; Cap, Avengers, Iron Man, etc. Marvel is trying to get all the licenses back of all their characters. Sadly, Sony will never let Spidey go. Those other companies have to put out a movie every 5 years or lose their ownership of the characters back to Marvel, so whether a movie is good or bad, they have to put them out.

Sony is now using more Spider-man characters in the Spidey mythos to keep the franchise alive. Be prepared for a Sinister Six movie, a Venom movie and possibly a Silk movie.

Who's Silk you might ask? Just you wait...ugh.

Why did Marvel ever sell Spider-Man to Sony in the first place though?

Was it an Economical Offer of Peace that they just couldn't refuse?

avengers and captain america are bullshit too.  the whole marvel universe is full of popcorn flicks.  young magneto is the only character that they have gotten right.  patrick as prof x is on target.  anyway, it's more the actors than the characters with those two.  dc animated movies are better than marvel big budget flicks.

Ok I see well whoever owns it needs to stop
Leave comic heroes where they should be comics or animation
Because out of the 20 or so marvel movies released not one is above mediocre .
