I bet there were a few one liners in there at some point and the audience giggled at the corny one liners.

Anyone remember the Gargantuas back in the 70s? Sort of a Godzilla/King Kong mishmash-type creature. Green one and a brown one, one good, one bad. Japanese, of course.

see the thing is u gotta know wut movie u r going to.  I am a huge godzilla fan.  Have a godzilla collection etc.  well small one from years ago but some rare pieces.

If u look at the old godzilla movies they r total shit.  They fucking hilariously so bad that they r good.

This movie had its bad points but its about a big fn lizard.  80% on rotten tomatoes isnt bad.

I loved it n forgave it for its stupidity at times.  I hate wen movies make it so the main character just happens to be in the same place the multiple times where the action is.  It happened in man of steel like that also.

it had other shortcomings to but if u r in the mood for a kncok down drag em out monster fight go see it.

Godzilla > Spiderman

I do agree they fooled everyone into thinking Brian was the lead.

Anyway...best monster/superhero movie of the summer so far.

LOVE Racer X. Own all the band's albums, and the DVD, too. Gilbert rules.

As far as Godzilla, the movie, well, I'll be going in a few days FOR SURE. Cannot wait.
Same here man, same here... Big fan of Paul Gilbert and Racer X, sad that after Getting Heavier in 2003 they did only rare live appearance and no more new albums... And Gilbert today changed a lot, he's no more the inhuman technical shredder that he was, boring fucking blues started to crawl in him after Fuzz Universe...

in the movie the Male MUTO was in Japan absorbing the nuclear plant  and it was making a mating call the the female MUTO in Navada , they both meet up in San Francisco where they touch for the first time , and then all of a sudden the female MUTO already has a thousand MUTO eggs fetus alive and ready to birth  ??? ???

And must by another miracle there just happens to be a Gas Tanker truck in the pit , to destroy the egg layer  ::) ::)

i hate fucking movies that do this, ONE hero does it all ,why the need to have an entire of Japanese and American soldiers when all you need is one bomb disposal soldier  ???

i know i know its just a movie

I thought Pacific Rim was a WHOLE lot better

I’ve never been a GODZILLA fan but we had compt passes to see it in iMax 3D opening night.

Still  not  a GODZILLA fan but I found it interesting due to the fact that I lived in  three of the major locations in which some of the scenes were shot … Japan, Hawaii, and San Francisco.

That Hawaii beach scene was supposedly directly across from my house. It looks like it was shot on the Hilton Hawaiian Hotel beachfront site.

I had no idea that GODZILLA was a ‘good guy’ until the very end when he  killed them mutos and departed via San Francisco Bay saying, “I’ll be back!” which you probably didn’t notice because he said it in Godzilla-esse… a language I studied many years ago.

I think those big bad critters (Mutos ?) were related to the big bad guys in starship Troopers. Maybe distant cousins.

She was the only good thing in it. I see her name is Olsen. Did she used to be the Olsen twins that my kids used to watch?

Why did Godzilla feel to need to chase after the other creatures?
Godzilla brings balance to nature, you should listen to movies not just watch them

How would it even know they existed?
just like back in 54' when the russian sub went missing... zilla picked up on their nuclear emissions

What the fuck were all the cars doing being kept on the golden gate bridge when they could have driven off in 5 minutes?
yup, that made no sense, plot failed on that one

Annoying fat wee kid supposed to be offspring of 2 skinny parents.
the kid is old enough to be fat from the poor nutrition his over worked mother feeds him while his dad was away for 14months serving in the military

Typical Japanese experts who knew what the creatures would be trying to achieve despite having no knowledge of them.
ever since Godzilla surfaced back in 54' monarch searched for him and other creatures, so it is no stretch to imagine that they have found other fossils and developed theories about them. as well as being able to study the live muta at the distroyed nuke plant for the last 15yrs

How come a mere admiral makes the decisions?
they do all the time when time is of the essence, besides, you did see him on the red phone talking the prez didn't you?

Where were the senior military / government folk?
see answer above

3/10

I think the last 3 star wars movies have sucked... maybe that's cause I like startrek.

I'll probably be seeing it in the next week or so.
I'm expecting it to be shit so even if it's a 4 out of 10, it would have exceeded my expectations.

if your already a zilla fan you will love it or atleast enjoy it. plausible plot for the most part, no humanoid aliens in this one, no stupid monster vs monster fight that rampages for far to long - also, no secret sci fi weapons that the gov has to fight monsters.

- Well put about Cranston being under utilized.  Pissed me off

- The Female creature happened to dine on the nuclear waste then left it all to head to california.  While leaving alllllll the other nuclear waste behind.  So they can eat one missle at a time?

- I want to see the projected death toll / cosst of damage like was done for the Superman movie.

- VERY disappointed that we didn't hear a "Godzirrrrrra!"

- Godzilla biting the creatures didn't have any effect on them?

- No emergency stop on the airport tram when kid "accidentally" gets caught on it?

- So, no weapon we have could possibly damage these things?

- Agree with the above about suddenly all these eggs appear?

- The guy retro fitted a missle but they can't seem to pry open two doors to have him finish the job?  Really?

- Guess the next time something happens I will simply say "I am Lieutenant Blah Blah of the US Navy" and no one will question me.  Maybe have the guy throw some dog tags out?  Show his ID?  Naw...take his word for it.

- Typical tripping when some disaster is about to strike people running from it.

- So Godzilla will swim under boats, but will choose to simply walk through the Golden Gate bridge?

I am nit picking....good entertaining movie....but lets try harder for continuity here people!!!!!
