How's the calf strength coming back? Mine is taking quite a while to return.
3 times a week I do 3 sets of 30 reps unilateral extensions, then 3 sets of 30 reps unilateral leg curls, 3 sets of lunges with 20lbs plates in eah arm for 30 reps and 3 sets of calf raises with my bodyweight (20 reps).

That high rep is what pays off. You get functional strength, increased muscle size, a great pump with cardiovascular benefits and natural hormone release.
