bush went thru a few also.   it's normal.  they go work for fox or msnbc and make a lot of $, they give speeches, they do some lectures and some end up working universities.   It's a huge job - there's only one of you in the country, you're asked gotcha Qs 24/7, and any missteps can cause war or lose elections.  Jay Carney is douchey but there are 10 million journalist students that'd kill for that job.

You can't do that job for long...the trick is to sound credible and in command.

lolzers.  now you're just restating the obvious.  press secretaries lie all day long.  they protect info for the prez and for the country.  if youre pissed the white house doesn't answer 100% of questions or release all information they have, lol... "Hey, carney, what is the passcode to the nuclear football, and if you don't tell us, you're a liar and you're hiding something!"

All those staffers have to go out there and put on a good fake face to cover up for all of Obama's lies, scandals and outright incompetence but behind the scenes it's gotta be tough for them look at themselves in the mirror at night knowing what a sellout they are for being associated with this guy.

Lol....it's not expected to have two big resignations in one day.

limit the change in employees to 2 news cycles, not one... and do it on a friday afternoon?

that's what Palin used to do... she was worse actually lol - she'd wait til 5 minutes after a major personality died, THEN make her announcement about resigning, not running, etc.

I think it was exactly 5 minutes after steve jobs died - she called in and announced she wasn't running for POTUS in 2012.   clever strategy?  who knows.   I think she had another one when she announced she was leavning her governor job... michael jackson  maybe not?  that might not have been it, I forget which death she piggybacked there.  But the "I'm not running" was made immediately as the news of Steve Jobs death.

Can Obama find a more feminine Press Secretary to replace him?

Yeah ok, you need to count up just how many people ran....er, I mean resigned from this clown since his inception. Funny you keep bringing Palin into conversations and you still can't realize she was light years ahead of Obama (and Killary) as far qualifications. You're turning into one of biggest liberal hacks on here.

LOL... Palin's qualifications? What a fucking joke.

While the particulars may differ, she's no different than Obama as far as I'm concerned. They're both vacuous, rable-rousing demagogues, who managed to seduce a largely ill-informed and mildly idiotic electorate. Still, I give them both props for getting as far as they have. It's no easy feat, and they've done it.

The prospect of Palin in the White House terrifies me - just as the prospect of Obama did (and does) - albeit for different reasons. Perhaps it's because I want Presidents that aren't partisan hacks and have integrity and a functioning brain.

As for Hillary, my opinion isn't much different, except that I don't consider her vacuous. I think she is a genuinely smart and naturally gifted politician. That doesn't mean that I support her or that I think she's qualified to be President - quite the opposite in fact: I disagree with her on just about every topic and don't want her in the White House.

See that's interesting because while we have similar assessments of Hillary, it is her very intelligence, and those political gifts that scare me. People like Palin are highly predictable and transparent, but Hillary can seriously pull the wool over a lot of people's eyes. I have seen her take down some big prey. Schooled the man at his own game, ...and it did not end well r him.

Let's see, Palin was a Mayor, Governor and managed a business in the private sector. Hillary has done what? She was appointed to Secretary of State and that was a total abomination. (Obamanation). Her claim to fame was riding Bills coat tails. Yes, Palin is much smarter especially in the commonsense department. Say what you want about her.

Bush had 4 press secretaries.   Obama's second is leaving now.  In the end, they'll both have 3 or 4.  Nothing unusual.

EXPERIENCE?
hilary = 8 years senator, 4 years sec of state.  Plus the world experience of being 1st lady.
Most would agree that beats out "mayor" of a small town (we remember the interview with the new mayor showing her weekly duties), plus the 25 months of Governorship she had.

POLITICAL IDEOLOGY?
Palin gets the win here.  Since abandoning climate change and amnesty (yes she supported both of these lib beliefs in 2008), she has adopted the tea party beliefs.  Real or not, her current beliefs are great.  Hilary is a socialist lib, plain and simple.  Palin wins here, because she move from lib, to conservative.  Hilary stayed lib.  Neither is consistent like a ted cruz, but in lib vs former lib, Palin wins.

INTELLIGENCE?
Hilary.  Law degree with honors, right?  Beats a journalism degree from 5 colleges.  If you get them both quizzes about political history, world events, intricacies of govt... sorry, lib hilary is going to win.  She's been meeting world leaders and running white house, state of NY, then sec of state since 92.

OVERALL?
Palin has a better belief system, but is NOT built to govern.  She's built to motivate and entertain.  She went to school to be on TV.  She won gov job and was lined up for Senate - and she QUIT during her term for a TV deal.  Then another TV deal.  Now she can't get anyone to take her 'reality' shows and she's on fox once a month.  So if the goal is "who has more common sense", okay, give it to Palin.  If the goal is, "who has more intelligence, political experience, and global understanding?", well, that's Hilary.  Hard to debate it.

Her claim to fame was riding Bills coat tails. Yes, Palin is much smarter especially in the commonsense department. Say what you want about her.

There you go again... Unable to rationally evaluate or objectively examine a situation. You're such a tool.

You pad Palin's achievements and dismiss Hillary's simply because you don't like her. Whether you like it or not, Hillary was a Senator for right years, and Secretary of State for another 5. Whether you agree with her positions or actions is irrelevant. Those things happened and if you hope to have someone seriously contemplate your position, you shouldn't whitewash facts away when they don't support the narrative you are trying to express.

Whether you like it or not, Hillary is a seasoned politician who knows how to play any given situation to her advantage. Really, she's no different from Palin in that respect.

Speaking of Palin. Yes, she was elected Mayor and, eventually, Governor. She is, as I pointed out, a skilled politician and there's no denying that - she figured out how how tap into a segment of Republican voters and has been able to play them better than Johnny plays the fiddle. Not unlike Obama and Clinton, Palin is a practiced demagogue. That's a trait all "good" politicians share.

But none of that makes Palin particularly smart though. She has, at best, average intelligence, something that's obvious from her bichromatic outlook – everything being either black or white – and her almost shocking inability to cogently answer questions, especially hypothetical questions which require abstract reasoning.

I respect Sarah Palin for getting where she is; it's no small feat and she did it all herself. But I don't think she's anymore qualified for the Presidency than Obama.
