Man, those other guys don't have any more integrity than the next guy. LOL! And no one will remember if he stepped in front of the other guys. Years from now all they're going to say is Phil Heath, 3x Mr Olympia winner. Just like they say Ronnie Coleman, 8x Mr Olympia winner or Jay Cutler, 4x Mr Olympia winner.
Ronnie got shit towards the end of his Olympia run when people thought they handed him the contest along with Jay Cutler. You can't please everybody. None of these guys lose sleep over their perceived legacy.
They win contests and get everything that comes with winning. At the end of the day, that's what it's all about.
Its different when the judges are making the calls, versus the competitor winning a foul. (He won anyway IMHO, but the foul makes everyone question it)
look, if he hadnt done that, no one in this thread would be claiming he stole the victory from Kai.
it will be remembered, the same way all the baseball guys have asterisks next to their names and the same way lance armstrong is remembered. Your not paying attention to history if you think people forget that stuff.
Like I said, if all he cares about is winning, thats fine. But others arent doing that, no other olympian has needed to do that to win, and others arent getting treated like phil is all over the place. Theres a reason, and its his attitude and actions.
Those guys may be shittier people than phil, but on contest day they didnt feel the need to violate the rules and spirit of the competition to ensure a win he already had. Thats what people will remember. People always remember the guys that do fucked up shit to win.
Dorian and Ronnie got shit because judges handed them wins when they werent at their best. But no one shits on them for that, dorian especially is remembered for being a class act.
Phil is on track to be remembered as the cocky, insecure guy that had to stand 2 feet in front of the line to win.
Doesn't matter how many Os hell win, that will always come up, right or wrong.
