Who is "You"?
Why are you blaming the average citizen for the politics he has no influence on? Where are the war supporters among the public?
I'd say it's pretty clear who I mean when I say "you": All Brits, the ones who voted these ass-wipes into power and the ones that did not.
You see, in order for them to carry out obvious cases of aggression they need the support of, at least, a minority and the ambivalence of a majority. The blow-back that takes place afterwards is laid squarely on the public, via terrorist acts or offering political asylum to tens of thousands of people who have no intention of assimilating into the existing culture and are a huge economic cost to the government.
Many years ago (80s) my company sent me to work in the Southern part of Spain, in Algeciras. The town is well known as a passage way for Moroccans on the way back to their country for summer break from different parts of Europe. Some drive,
DRIVE, for 2,500 kilometers nonstop in a car full of people and presents for their families (I've actually seen a couch, A COUCH! on top of a car driven from Lyon in France on the way to Morocco). By the time they get to Algeciras these people are obviously very pissed: They complain to the cops, insult them, and leave the town looking like a garbage dump. Their huffing and puffing comes to a complete stop once they get to Morocco because they know cops there do not give a shit and will not hesitate to issue the mother of all asswhoopings if someone is brave enough to complain about anything.
What I'm trying to say is that these people are primarily from rural areas north of the Sahara, with an extreme case of deference for authoritative behavior. They take the Western World's rights of the individual as a sign of weakness. Meaning, if they were to complain they ought to be beating until bubbles come out of their noses.
