Yes...I study and read about MMA weight cutting techniques, they are notoriously brutal and guys have been known to cut from 200 lbs to 155 lbs for fights. It's actually very fascinating and interesting.  I have made weight cuts for power lifting meets as well as wrestling meets when I was wrestling in high school, and I can tell you 20 lbs in 24 hours is brutal, I cannot imagine 50 in 2 weeks for example.
