PWO's just a hassle, some to be taken on empty stomach, some not, some makes you run to the bathroom, some has to be timed just right or the right dosage... I've tried a bunch of them they dont add anything positive from what I can tell.

Intra-workout is just a joke isnt it.

BCAA isnt neccessary as you get all that in your food anyway.

There's no proof that you need any big amounts of protein, say over 100 grams per day. And everybody gets that through food, at least.

After training I figure I might as well eat regular food. Not this anabolic window crap.

So it seems to me a life without supplements is the way to go, but I thought I ask of your opinion before I go the seldom travelled road in bodybuilding.

You should focus on food and gear, not supps.

100 grams might even be excessive

keep it simple with otc supps.

caffene tabs as your pre-workout
b-complex vitamin a few times a day for energy
synergy by beverly international (creatine/arginine supp)

pretty much everything else you can do without.

How hard is it to shake some powder in a bottle of water and drink it? I don't think it's necessary but not much of a hassle either. I'm blessed with a super fast metabolism and a good drug source so I eat whatever I want but I still shoot for 200 grams protein

Indeed! A post workout shake takes all of 60 seconds to make and consume?

As easy it is to make it's even easier not to.

To go from 100 grams of protein per day to 130 grams or from 130 to 160 or from 160 to 190 or from 190 to 220 or from 220 to 250 grams...when is enough enough?

Where is the proof? Nowhere...meanwhile people who consume large amounts might get all kinds of illness and side effects as well as its costing them money...

How is it you cant get enough protein from 3 meals per day?

Where are these legions of folks, dropping like flies or filling ERs because of too many protein shakes?

If you were getting enough protein from just 3 meals a day, you wouldn't be bellyaching about it now.

To go from 130 to 160 grams of protein? That's all of TWO small chicken breasts (or one big one), or....less that two scoops of protein powder. Boy, what a chore that is.

When is enough enough? When you actually get bigger and stronger and don't have to blubber about this stuff anymore.

You can get more than enough protein from 3 meals daily for your bodybuilding needs, dont be a brainwashed lunkhead and believe everything the supplement and magazine companies tell you, you do know that they are trying to make money right.

If anyone can show me a true scientific study on nitrogen retention that shows you need protein shakes to make optimal progress please show me the study. I will not accept a clinical study from an unknown lab in Europe.

A man of your mass likely requires much much more than 200 grams.
