The newest 6.7l powerstroke comes from the factory with 440hp and 880lb-ft of torque. The engineers say they could put them out with 500/1000 in their current set up.
The 6.0l had issues, and I'm sure the 6.7l will too (there's so many emission requirements it's amazing to me that they can build anything that lasts anymore), but almost 900 lb-ft of torque stock? That does not SUUUUCKKK hard
The 6.0 had HUGE issues. There are companies out there that all they do is "bullet proofing" 6.0s. Read about this piece of garbage motor. Almost bankrupted Ford.
The later generation powerstrokes are shit too...not as bad. I'm talking long term reliability. You NEED to pull off the EGR, DFE and make a straight pipe exhaust on these asap.
I love the body styles, interiors and power outputs are fucking amazing. If you're using it as a "bro" truck and gonna own it for a year or 2 and put like 30k miles on them, you have nothing to worry about.
But for people who use these trucks to tow trailers a lot for business or pleasure and want to keep them for a long time. Good luck. They have a lot of problems.
They don't hold a candle to the Cummins or Duramax motors.
